Laura and Paul Amador

We began as a brother and sister team. My sister, Laura, had a life-threatening disease and I wanted to give my kidney to save her life, but was not a possible match.

When an altruistic donor began a 14 person kidney chain, I had the opportunity to give my kidney to a complete stranger, and my sister was given a kidney in return.

Since then, we have begun a vast campaign to register organ donors at San Joaquin Delta College.

By dancing and bringing awareness to the thousands of Americans who need a transplant, we now boast 478 pink dots and the potential to have saved 3,824 lives through organ donations.

And we are just getting started!

If you are passionate about dance and the power to save lives, please contact us. We are a registered non-profit with the State of California and have received Congressional recognition.

Please join in our story. A single donor can set off a nation-wide chain which touches the lives of hundreds of families. Believe me, that's exactly what happened to us.

In every person, there is a need to give back.

As of today, 86.3 million people were enrolled in state donor registries.

This represents an increase of 24.4 percent since 2007 and brings us a step closer to the goal of 100 million designated donors.

Laura and Paul Amador were members of a kidney chain which was started by an altruistic donor.

They are currently spearheading efforts in San Joaquin Delta College and throughout the central valley which encourage families to share their donation and transplant stories and register to be a donor.

Their transplant fellowship was cemented in 2009 when Paul Amador donated a kidney to the national donor registry, which resulted in his sister joining a donor network and receiving her transplant.

Now they are working to register donors as fast as they can. 11 people a day die from lack of a kidney transplant. Please connect with Dance for Donors as soon as possible to see how you can help.

Dance for Donor is a registered donor club at San Joaquin Delta College and works closely with donor families to ensure their loved ones in need of a donation are promoted across the web and in their hometowns.
